The organising Committee welcomes applications to speak at the Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Barbara Pym Society, to be held at St Hilda’s College, Oxford, on 31 August–1 September 2019. Preference will be given to proposals on the featured novel Jane & Prudence, but proposals on any topic relevant to Pym studies will be considered, and proposals dealing with themes that span multiple novels are encouraged.

Speakers will be entitled to two night(s) B&B at St Hilda’s, waiver of the conference registration fee, complimentary conference meals and refreshments. Payment of travel expenses within the UK will be at the discretion of the committee.

Please send an abstract of 150-250 words, accompanied by brief biographical details, by 30 April 2019, to with the subject heading “2019 AGM Proposal.”
